Radiohead Compile B-Sides, Remixes on Japan-Only Com Lag EP

As they've done time and time again, Radiohead will be releasing an EP to coincide with their tour of Japan. The Com Lag EP, which will see the light of day on March 29th in Japan, will be a very limited release, so plan on shelling out the dough if you want a copy. The release doesn't come as a surprise, as the band is notorious for releasing these little limited gems. Examples include 1994's Australian tour EP My Iron Lung which is considered by many fans to be the Radiohead album that time forgot, and 2001's No Surprises: Running From Demons EP, which featured many songs later released domestically on 1998's Airbag: How Am I Driving? EP.

As far as the tracks included on the EP go, what is lacking in original unreleased content is made up for in volume. Clocking in at ten tracks, which range from b-sides and remixes culled from the various "There There," "Go To Sleep," and "2 + 2 = 5" singles, this baby surpasses the industry standards for what qualifies as an LP by at least three tracks. We're also told that the EP has some "value-added" exclusive features which include, among other things, a live version of "2 + 2 = 5," Ed Holdsworth's video for "Sit Down, Stand Up," and some clips originally found on the Radiohead.tv website. In other Radiohead news, Capitol Records has confirmed that the U.S. release of guitarist Jonny Greenwood's Bodysong soundtrack will be accompanied by a limited-edition seven-inch with two bonus tracks not available on the import version. The seven-incher will be limited to 2,000 copies and distributed via select stores, according to fansite Green Plastic Radiohead.

The film itself will be released on DVD in the UK February 16th, a full week before we even get the soundtrack stateside.
